Like him or not, Billy Mays was good at what he did. He had a long career as a traveling pitchman. If you ever had a chance to see him in action, then you were one of the lucky ones.

We have been working with Forbes Riley that was recently on his Discovery Channel show, “Pitchmen.” Forbes, Billy, and Sully go way back. Forbes is basically a female version of Billy, great to work with, and a character herself.

The sad part about Billy’s untimely death is that he has just hit his stride. Pitching products for years, Billy was one of the most sought after pitchman in the world and he was finally reaping the fruits of his labor.

The success of the products he pitched, sometimes made inventors dreams come true. I was always intrigued to see what fabulous product was coming out for only $19.99. I posted a one of those product videos, the awesome auger as a small tribute to Mays. Some of you lawn and garden enthusiasts may actually own one. I do and I know I will never look at it the same again.

There may be some that will try and fill his shoes, but in the end there can be only one Billy Mays. Billy, we’ll miss you….
